Neck Pain and Headaches: The Connection Patients Notice
When headaches track with neck stiffness, the exam should look at both, not just the headache itself.

Patients often describe the same week: screen time, tight upper traps, and a headache that starts at the base of the skull. That pattern does not prove a chiropractic diagnosis on its own, but it is enough to warrant a careful cervical exam.
What the exam checks
Dr. Rae looks at cervical motion, joint tenderness, and how the upper back is compensating. The goal is to separate mechanical findings from symptoms that belong with a primary-care or neurology referral.
What care can look like
When the findings support chiropractic care, adjustments and simple home guidance stay specific. You leave knowing what should feel different in the next few days and when to follow up.
